This is absolutely the best service I've ever had hands down. Bed place to buy or fix a bike. Rick and his dad Dick are doing it right. Won't go anywhere else
Knew about reviews in advance, but, could they be that bad! YES. Went on a Sunday with a rim to be repaired, rim pulled out of my hand, taken to a "technician", without him even looking was told it's cracked. Asked to show me and couldn't, was told to go into repair area while the non existent crack was trying to be found. This is the point were "Dick" comes unglued and starts shouting at me about being there. Tried to explain I was told to be there by employee who remained silent though this. Was told it's his store that's why, which is correct. So best course of action was to take part and leave. These people are insane and reviews should be paid attention too. In my opinion, avoid this store at all costs.
What a terrible experience. I went with my son to look at a road bike. Dick helped and picked out 2 bikes. My son sat on both and looked at each and asked a few questions. Dick kept saying which will you buy or take both. My son asked if he could ride them in the parking lot. Dick said no, unless you buy them. I wasn't going to spend the money without him trying it, but didn't get as far as saying that before Dick went into a tirade about how he had wasted enough time on us (there were no other customers in the store) and told us to get the f!$* out his store. I suggest no one go to his shop. Eventually he will change or go out of business.
Wish I could give 0 stars, but I have to give at least one to post this warning. A friend of mine took a vintage frame there to have a part put into it, they charged him $120 for the part and installation, only to find out he could do it himself and buy one online for $20.
I went there myself looking for wheels for a custom build. 700c or 27" rims I told them, and they said they have some in the warehouse but they wouldn't get them for me to look at saying "I'm not bringing them up unless I know you're buying them." And I responded asking "how am I supposed to know if I'm gonna buy them if you won't show them to me?" He said "Sounds like you don't know what you want. Come back when you know what you want.". I went to Bert's Bikes, and they were extremely helpful in helping me find and order parts. DO. NOT. GO. TO. THIS. SHOP. They are extremely sketchy, and disrespectful and they overcharge parts and service, just go to Bert's. Hope I helped someone with this post.
Dudes a joke wouldnt even finish talking to me... Thought he could pull fast one and low ball me and when i brought up what i looked at them hing the phone up on me... Great customer service fella!!!!
